SHAMOKIN DAM – Shamokin Dam Police now say alcohol is believed to be a substantial factor in Friday’s crash at in Shamokin Dam. Police Chief Tim Bremigen says the driver, 43-year-old Theresa Risso of Selinsgrove, did have a ‘potentially high level of alcohol within her body’ at the time of the crash. He says police are not releasing the exact level of alcohol at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
Bremigen also says charges have not been filed, but are anticipated.
Police are asking anyone who may have surveillance video from a business, residential structure, or in-car camera footage, to contact them at 570-743-2671. Bremigen says officers are interested in footage between the Williamsport and Shamokin Dam areas, and or within the Route 11 and Route 15 corridor.
