NORTHUMBERLAND — Fire damaged a home in Point Township, Northumberland County Wednesday morning. The fire was in the 600 block of Bulk Plant Road.
Firefighters arrived around 7:20am and found fire on the first and second levels of the home.
The homeowners got out safely and no firefighters were injured. Significant damage was reported inside the home and the fire was ruled accidental.
The Point Township Fire Company posted on their Facebook page that they are collecting gift cards to local stores to assist the family, who lost belongings in the fire. Gift cards can be dropped in the locked mail box mounted on the wall near the back of the fire station.
