SUNBURY — The state senate’s Majority Policy Committee will visit Sunbury next week to discuss strategies for addressing blight in local communities.
The hearing, hosted by state Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver, will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Northumberland County Administration Center.
Chaired by Sen. Dave Argall, the committee aims to gather input from local officials and experts to help develop new legislation aimed at fighting blight. Testifiers include County Commissioner, and property owner Meghan Beck, and attorney and solicitor for the Sunbury Redevelopment Authority Brianna Apfelbaum Kula.
Also testifying, Pat Mack of the Northumberland County Housing Authority, Jennifer Wakeman, Executive Director, DRIVE, and several others involved in housing and economic development. The hearing will be livestreamed.
