Pedestrian being cited for crash on the strip

SHAMOKIN DAM— We have an update on the pedestrian accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon on Routes 11 and 15 in Shamokin Dam. Shamokin Dam police say the pedestrian was at fault for the crash.

 

They say 47-year-old Randi Lewis of Illinois was trying to cross Routes 11/15 near the Colonial Village Shopping Plaza when she ran in front of a vehicle. Police say the driver attempted to swerve away from Lewis but was unsuccessful.

 

Lewis is found to be at fault for the crash and a citation is pending for pedestrians crossing without a crosswalk. She was transported to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment of her injuries where she is listed in stable condition.
