HARRISBURG — The PA attorney general has joined a bipartisan group of 50 Attorneys General with a request for the US Department of Justice: Take action against illegal offshore gaming and gambling.
In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, the group urges federal enforcement to shut down unlicensed gaming websites, seize assets, and block unlawful financial transactions. They also say companies like VISA and MasterCard should stand down.
PA AG Dave Sunday says illegal gambling sites expose children and vulnerable Pennsylvanians, avoid taxes, and lack basic consumer protections. Pennsylvania’s legal gaming brought in $6.4 billion last year, including $2.5 billion from online casinos.
