UPDATE: According to the Citizen’s Electric Outage map, all power has been restored in and around the Lewisburg borough.
LEWISBURG – Thousands are without power in the Lewisburg area Friday morning due to Thursday’s winter storm. According to the Citizen’s Electric Outage map, 2,116 are without power in the borough, 1,595 in Buffalo Township, 2,660 in East Buffalo Township and154 in Kelly Township.
Citizen’s Electric says it’s a system-wide power outage due to problems on both of PPL’s transmission lines that provide service to Citizen’s Electric. PPL has dispatched a helicopter to patrol for problems. An estimated time of restoration is unknown. All customers lost power around 8:30 a.m. Friday.
According to PPL’s outage map, 45 PPL customers are without power as well.
