Northumberland Couple Found Guilty of Child Endangerment

SUNBURY – The Daily Item reports a Northumberland couple has been found guilty of endangering the welfare of children following a two day trial. 49-year-old Christopher Marks and 50-year-old Jennifer Marks were charged with two counts each of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors for abusing two of their adopted children.

The couple was charged in March of 2022 after a Children and Youth caseworker called police about a report of a child being struck by Jennifer Marks. The Daily Item reports the 16-year-old boy and 13-year-old both testified about their physical abuse in court. Christopher and Jennifer Marks both face jail time when they are sentenced.
