North Shore Railroad Holds Veterans Benefit Voyage Saturday

North Shore railroad restored train cars set for Saturdays inaugural veterans train rides.

 

LEWISBURG – The North Shore Railroad is holding their Inaugural Veterans Benefit Voyage this Saturday in Lewisburg. Jeb Stotter, president of the railroad said they are inviting the community to join them as they honor and support veterans, “We have a great deal of respect and appreciation for our veterans.  And we are going to do something about it…we want to help them.  That’s what these rail cars represent.”

There will be passenger train rides on the two newly dedicated military units, departing from Hufnagle Park, rides will be available at 9am and 11am, along with 1pm and 3pm. The rides last about one hour. For tickets and additional details, visit www.nshr.com.

Briner said Expedition Orange and Lycoming County Hometown Heroes. Expedition Orange raises awareness for Vietnam veterans impacted by Agent Orange through events nationwide, while Lycoming County Hometown Heroes offers financial assistance to veterans and their families during times of need.
