SUNBURY – The public will have to wait to hear the results of an investigation into Sunbury police. City councilman John Shipman tells WKOK, city council and Mayor David Persing reviewed the report from Ballard Spahr LLC Wednesday.
According to Shipman, council believes there is more work to be done before the report is complete. He believes the city won’t be making a statement about the findings until after the first of the year, at the earliest.
Earlier this year, two officers were placed on unpaid suspension after being accused of improper behavior. City council hired Ballard Spahr after seeing the results of an internal police investigation.
Shipman says the additional work will add to the $16,000 price tag for the report.
