UNDATED – Drivers in the Montandon area, in the CSVT construction zone, will need to be alert for a new traffic pattern Tuesday. PennDOT says Route 147 north and south will be switched to a temporary crossover to the new northbound bridge can be built. The crossover is needed so the existing bridge can be removed and a new southbound bridge can be built.
Meantime, Route 15 south at the Winfield interchange will again be restricted to a single lane during daylight hours this week. The contractor will again be working on the abutment for the permanent bridge spanning the highway.
Route 15 traffic will be open to two lanes when the contractor is not working. Blasting on Route 15 will continue as well in both directions. Traffic will be stopped for approximately five minutes. Blasting will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (Matt Catrillo)
