MONTANDON – Starting this Wednesday, in West Chilisquaque Township, in Northumberland County, there will be single lane traffic and flagging during the day on Rt 147. This will occur while workers set beams at the bridge over Chillisquaque Creek.
Also, traffic on the local roads going under the bridge will be stopped for up to 15 minutes at a time. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. The work on the bridge is expected to be completed by Tuesday, September 26.
PennDOT says the CSVT project on the northern section is progressing as the long term lane restrictions in Winfield will continue until further notice. For information on all traffic conditions across the state go to 511PA.com. (Christopher Elio)
