HARRISBURG – Some changes coming for two Valley Catholic parishes and a new chaplain coming for Geisinger.
In an announcement Thursday, Harrisburg Diocese Bishop Ronald Gainer says current Rev. Martin O’Moran, Pastor of Divine Redeemer Parish in Mount Carmel, is leaving the area. O’Moran is leaving to become pastor of a Carlisle parish. He will be replaced by Rev. Ryan Fischner, who last served as Parochial Vicar of a parish in Hanover.
Geisinger is also losing its current chaplain, Rev. Ignatius Madumere, who will now become Chaplain of Hershey Medical Center. He also served as Parochial Vicar to St. Joseph’s Parish in Danville. Madumere will be replaced by Rev. Augustine Joseph, who last served as Parochial Vicar for a Mechanicsburg parish.
Bishop Gainer says all changes are effective June 18.
