SELINSGROVE – Susquehanna University’s new nickname and mascot will be revealed on Saturday. The university tells us they will announce the new name Saturday at noon on the lawn of the Degenstein Center.
The three mascots being considered are the Bobcats, the River Hawks or the Phoenix. Voting for the mascots has been underway throughout the month of March. The event will also be broadcast live via streaming video for anyone interested at www.susqu.edu/reveal.
The logo and mascot will then be designed and unveiled in the fall, according to University President Dr. L Jay Lemons. (Ali Stevens)
