HARRISBURG – While gasoline prices in Pennsylvania remain unchanged, prices at the pump increased nationally once again, with diesel prices continuing to soar.
Gasbuddy.com reported Monday the national average price of gas rose 2.5 cents per gallon in the last week, now averaging $3.82 per gallon. That’s the highest level since last October.
Pennsylvania gas prices remain at $3.90 per gallon.
The national average price of diesel soared 12.3 cents per gallon in the last week and now stand at $4.27 per gallon.
Gasbuddy.com says oil prices remain under pressure from recent OPEC+ production cuts.
Gasbuddy also says prices at the pump stand just over a dime away from rising back above their year-ago level; something that’s definitely possible by the closing of summer.
