WILLIAMSPORT — National Drug Take Back Day is from 10am to 2pm, offering residents a safe way to dispose of unused or expired medications. The event, sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration, includes drop-off sites across our region.
Officials say the program helps prevent prescription drug misuse and accidental overdoses while protecting the environment. During April’s event, Pennsylvania collected nearly 32,000 pounds of medication. A list of local drop-off locations is available at ddap.pa.gov
