MOUNT CARMEL – A man who was acquitted of rape last year has been charged with indecent assault and indecent exposure. The News Item reports 32-year-old Jonathan Mazak of Mount Carmel was arraigned on Wednesday for incidents dating back to the summer of 2012 at his home.
Police say Mazak made a 12-year-old girl touch him inappropriately and locked the girl and her sister in their bedrooms. Mazak was sent to the Snyder County Prison on $50,000 bail. He has a preliminary hearing March 5 before District Judge Hugh Jones. In April of last year, Mazak was found not guilty of raping a 22-year-old Marion Heights woman in April of 2012. (Ali Stevens)
