SUNBURY — A fundraiser to help the family of a Shikellamy School District math teacher diagnosed with ALS disease was a huge success. Organizer Beth Zeigler tells us the event on Sunday, along with several fundraisers leading up to the event, raised more than $60,000 for the family of Macy Minnier.
The 12-hour event on Sunday featured a walk on the track, Chinese auction, games, entertainment, food and more. All proceeds benefit Macy Minnier, a well-known teacher, who was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year. The event on Sunday was held at Shikellamy High School Stadium. (Ali Stevens)
