MILTON – State police have released more information about a vehicle fire that shut down Interstate 80 eastbound Saturday night. Troopers say 63-year-old Madison Moss of Memphis, Tennessee was traveling east on I-80 in Turbot Township, Northumberland County when for unknown reasons, fire ignited under his tractor-trailer.
The fire quickly spread and the tractor portion of the truck was destroyed. Moss was not injured. I-80 east was shut down at the Milton exit around 9:30 p.m. and one lane reopened at 10:45 p.m. The highway reopened by midnight. (Ali Stevens)
