WASHINGTONVILLE — The Montour Delong Fair is in full swing this week.
The fair is celebrating 87 years of what they call community spirit, agriculture, and family fun in Montour County. The fairgrounds near Washingtonville drew thousands on opening night and continue to welcome visitors daily at 4pm through Saturday. Go Joe wrapped up his Tuesday ride at the fair near Washingtonville.
Fairgoers can enjoy youth livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA presentations, old-fashioned contests, tractor pulls, historical reenactments, and nightly live entertainment.
A variety of homemade fair meals are offered daily for $15, including meatloaf, chicken BBQ, and lasagna. Saturday also features the fair’s first-ever car show at 10am. Organizers credit generations of volunteers for keeping the fair going strong for nearly nine decades. More information at www.montourdelongfair.com.
