Montour DeLong Fair begins Monday

montour fairWASHINGTONVILLE — A popular fair kicks off Monday night. The 77th Montour Delong Fair in Washingtonville promises lots of fun at a bargain price. Deb Alpaugh from the fair committee says attendees can expect the best of a small-town fair, “Number one, the fee to get is only $3 for parking. There’s no admission fee and there’s no entertainment fee.”

Alpaugh says there is a special event featuring local officials, “We have a VIP mini-horse showmanship contest which our county commissioners, our district attorney, our judge will be competing in as well as Representative Masser, Culver and Millard.”

Of course there will be exhibits, games, food and free music, too. The Montour Delong fair begins with vespers at 7pm Sunday and continues through next Saturday. (Jennifer Wakeman)
