Montour County warden placed on probation

montour prison FEATDANVILLE – The Montour County prison board has put their warden on probation for an undisclosed reason. Gerald Cutchall was at the public meeting Monday when the prison board announced their decision.

Montour County commissioner Trevor Finn says the probation will be in effect for one month, “We instituted a corrective action plan to be evaluated during that time and for the following six months.”

Cutchall will remain on the job during the probation, but Finn says he must complete the plan laid out by the prison board, “If he cannot meet the corrective action plan, yes, his job is in jeopardy, but if he meets all the criteria then he should be fine.”

Finn declined to comment on the nature of Cutchall’s infraction. Cutchall has been the warden at the Montour County prison for 13 years and Finn says he is not aware of any other disciplinary action during that time.
