Milton’s Baugher Elementary Back in Virtual Learning

MILTON – A Milton Area School District building is moving back to 100% virtual learning for the rest of this week due what they say is an ongoing COVID outbreak. The district says Baugher Elementary School began virtual learning today and will continue tomorrow and Thursday, with in-person instruction resuming Friday.

The district says to date, there are 25 positive cases at Baugher and over 90 students and staff quarantining. Seven additional students are awaiting test results. The district also says the school as met the state Department of Health criteria for an outbreak, as well as the threshold of 5% of cases based on a medium-sized school – that means the school needs to move towards outbreak containment.

It’s the second time since mid- December Baugher was forced to move to virtual learning.

The school office will remain open.
