MILTON- White Deer and Montandon Elementary Schools will have a new principal. Last night the Milton school board voted in Philip Heggenstaller. Mr. Heggenstaller is currently at Mifflinburg Middle School where he served for three and a half years. Before that, Mr. Heggenstaller taught as a fourth grade teacher at Middletown Area school district for nine and a half years.
“I’m very excited to be on board with Milton Area School District. I’m a Milton graduate, so I’m excited to be able to give back and have an opportunity to work with the students and staff in both White Deer and Montandon.”
He is replacing Jennifer Berry-Propst, who served the district as principal of both elementary schools for a period of two years. Mr. Heggenstaller’s salary will be $73,000. (Ashley Thomas)
