Milton Man Charged with Raping a Child

COAL TOWNSHIP — A 64-year-old Milton man has been charged with raping a 10-year-old girl in Coal Township late last year.  The News Item reports that William C. Dunkle,  is charged with counts including  rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child,  sexual assault and indecent assault for the incidents which happened between November 24th and December 24th at a residence on West Walnut Street.  According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge William Zalinski, Dunkle is accused of the incidents involving the girl without her consent and then  threatened to kill her mother if the girl told anyone about the incident.  Detectives began their investigation January  26th after receiving a Childline referral regarding alleged sexual abuse of the victim.  Dunkle, who waived his constitutional rights and agreed to speak with detectives on February 27th, denied the allegations against him.
