MIFFLINBURG – An 18-year-old Mifflinburg man has died from injuries sustained in a crash Monday near Mount Pleasant Mills. Eric Martin died Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center. He was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by Theodore Martin, who apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drove off of Route 104.
The other passengers were 29-year-old Melvin Zimmerman of Mifflinburg and 18-year-old John Reiff of Mifflinburg, who both remain in critical condition. Richard Zimmerman of Mifflinburg was treated and released along with Mervin Reiff of Mifflinburg and the driver Theodore Martin. One of the men was struck by a passing SUV after climbing out of the truck following the accident. (Ali Stevens)
