KREAMER – A Georgia man and North Carolina man were taken into custody after an incident at a solar field in Kreamer Monday afternoon.
Middleburg Police say taken into custody were 23-year-old Timberland Shelton of Georgia and 33-year-old Kendrick Bond of North Carolina. Officers say both men were arraigned in district court; Bond posted $5,000 bail and Shelton was committed to Snyder County Prison without bail.
Officers say both men were employed for a sub-contractor providing solar power services in the area at the time of the incident.
Officers say Shelton retrieved a handgun from a vehicle and discharged toward Bond. Bond then fled on foot and was taken into custody at Weaver’s Archery.
Officers also say Shelton was treated and released at Evangelical Community Hospital for a leg injury.
Kreamer Feed Inc. says none of its employees were involved.
