Midd-West School District will settle Snook suit
MIDDLEBURG — Midd-West school district will settle a lawsuit from a former school administrator. At their meeting April 27, directors say they will vote on a motion to rescind Daphne D. Snook’s suspension without pay and authorize payment of $35,000 for all back pay and accrued leave.
Snook filed a lawsuit last May after she was suspended from the district without pay. Last month the district reached a settlement that included a $130,000 payment and removing the ‘unpaid suspension’ from Snook’s personnel file.
Snook served as the former acting superintendent and director of curriculum, instruction and technology. She was suspended after allegedly improperly breaching the district email system. The Snyder County District Attorney’s office investigated and no criminal charges were filed. (Jennifer Wakeman)
