Meth lab discovered in local motel

shamokin dam pd THMSHAMOKIN DAM – A meth lab has been discovered in a Shamokin Dam motel. Shamokin Dam police chief Timothy Bremigen says officers responded to a disturbance at the Golden Arrow Motel February 12. 23-year old Savannah Goodling and 23-year-old Charles Hanson, both from Snyder County were found in the room and interviewed by police about the disturbance.

During the investigation, officers noticed drug paraphernalia and a chemical smell in the room. A search warrant was executed and items were seized that are common in a meth lab.

Goodling was taken into custody prior to executing the search warrant and placed in Snyder County prison on bench warrants held by Snyder County Sheriff’s office. Hanson was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct related to the disturbance.

 

Bremigen says no charges have been filed related to the meth lab as the investigation is ongoing, but arrests are expected in the near future.
