Matt Sandusky shares his child abuse story

sandusky FEATLEWISBURG – The son of a convicted child molester shared his story of hope Wednesday. Matthew Sandusky, the adopted son of Jerry Sandusky spoke about life after child abuse to a crowd at the Lewisburg High School.

Sandusky shared his journey of healing and hope for other survivors. This was Sandusky’s first speech in Pennsylvania since the Jerry Sandusky child sex scandal erupted.

Prior to the event, a man was forced out of the auditorium by police, calling Sandusky a liar and yelling, “This is what happens when you try to tell the truth.” Sandusky began his talk by telling the audience he realized several people were there to stop him. He said the protestors made him want to share his reality even more to give hope to others.

Sandusky and his wife, Kim established the Peaceful Hearts Foundation to help abuse survivors move forward with the healing process. Sandusky’s appearance was sponsored by Transitions of PA and Susquehanna Valley CASA.  (Alex Reichenbach)
