SHAMOKIN – A man who fled from police on Friday to avoid arraignment has turned himself in to police. Peter Pereira of Shamokin arrived at the police station with his father on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old escaped from police on Friday afternoon. He was scheduled for arraignment on one count of robbery before District Judge John Gembic. Charges of fleeing are pending against Pereira. (Ali Stevens)
