Man running for state rep charged with endangering a child

police lights FEATSUNBURY – A Coal Township man running for state representative has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.  The News Item reports 38-year-old Michael Krankowski is accused of leaving a 2-year-old child in the car for more than 20 minutes while he was grocery shopping in Sunbury April 4.  Sunbury police say the vehicle was running, but was not locked up.

 

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 17.  Krankowski is on the Democratic ballot for state representative in the 107th legislative district, a seat held by Republican Kurt Masser (R-107th, Elysburg).  (Ali Stevens)
