SUNBURY – A man who tried to flee from state police in the Sunbury area has been taken into custody. Troopers tell us Dane Albertson Jr., whose address is not known, was charged with fleeing and eluding following a chase Monday night. Albertson is accused of fleeing from police who tried to pull him over the Oaklyn area of Route 61.
Troopers say Albertson drove on Highland Avenue, Race Street and North Eleventh Street in Sunbury, before he was taken into custody near Sunbury Community Hospital. State police were trying to stop Albertson for a traffic violation around 8:30 p.m. when the chase began. (Ali Stevens)
