MIFFLINBURG – A Union County man is jailed after allegedly holding an 8-inch knife to a woman’s neck and threatening to slit her throat. 23-year-old Chad L. Brouse is accused of having been drunk when he threatened the alleged victim and friends. When the friends left, the woman said Brouse pushed her, causing her lip to bleed. Brouse then allegedly retrieved the knife and held it to her throat.
Online court document indicate Brouse is charged with aggravated and simple assault. He was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Jeffrey Mensch and sits in Snyder County Jail at $15,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for January 5.
