HUMMELS WHARF – An investigation is ongoing after an unknown man grabbed a child while waiting for the holiday parade to start at the Susquehanna Valley Mall. Selinsgrove state police say the incident occurred Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Selinsgrove troopers say the man, who was not permitted to touch the boy, grabbed the child while they were waiting for the parade to start. The man grabbed the child by his sweatshirt, then smiled and waved at the child. The man then walked toward the south end of the mall after meeting up with another man.
The perpetrator did not attempt to take the child. Troopers say there is no reason to believe the public is in any danger.
