KELLY TOWNSHIP – A failed background check for a firearm may result in charges. State Police are reporting that 50-year-old Kevin Allen Heivly of Montgomery, Lycoming County attempted to purchase a firearm at a store in Kelly Township, Union County late last year.
The police report states that he was denied the firearm due to a prior conviction on his record. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
