WHITE DEER – State police filed charges against a White Deer man three times in the same day. 29-year-old Billy Joe Hawley was charged with summary harassment at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 22 after police say he head-butted a man at the White Deer Trailer Park.
At noon on the same day, Hawley was charged with summary public drunkenness after police say he was yelling obscenities and racial slurs at the trailer park owner. State troopers witnessed Hawley throw a half-empty beer can at the owner.
Police say Hawley is also charged with disorderly conduct and traffic violations. He allegedly damaged a concrete parking block with his car at the White Deer post office and drove recklessly through a grass yard. That incident also occurred June 22.
