SUNBURY — A Northumberland man was arrested after he assaulted nurses at Sunbury Community Hospital Sunday afternoon. The Daily Item reports 31-year-old Cody Edinger ripped out his own IV and assaulted two nurses and a security guard.
Edinger was taken into custody at the hospital after repeatedly trying to continue fighting with staff and police. He was arraigned before District Judge Mike Diehl and sent to prison on $100,000 cash bail.
Edinger was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. The security guard was treated for injuries to his head, neck, chest and body. One nurse injured her wrist and the other nurse had a cut on her hand. (Ali Stevens)
