FREEBURG – A man was arrested and a 13-year-old male was cited following an incident in Freeburg September 22. Selinsgrove state police say arrested was 34-year-old Dale Snook of Beaver Springs. He was charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment of the juvenile during the incident and was released from prison on $7,500 unsecured bail.
Troopers say the incident occurred when the teen punched his mother in the face during an argument. That’s when troopers say Snook, the victim’s boyfriend, choked the teen and struck him in the abdomen with his knee.
Troopers say the juvenile then ran out of the house and called 911. Troopers say the juvenile was also cited with harassment for his role in the incident.
