SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY- An unidentified 24-year-old man from Paxinos is jailed after he attacked his 16-year-old brother.
Stonington state police say the incident occurred August 2 along Hosta Road in Shamokin Township, Northumberland County.
Troopers say, during the altercation, the man grabbed a metal pick with a wooden handle and attempted to stab the victim while chasing him onto the front porch.
Troopers say the man also threatened to get a shotgun from inside the home and use it.
Troopers say they immediately took the man into custody and placed him in the Northumberland County Prison. Charges were filed in district court.
