Man arrested after assaulting four people at behavioral health center

MCCLURE – A man was arrested after assaulting four people. Selinsgrove state police say the incident occurred November 10 just before 4:30 p.m. Selinsgrove troopers say it occurred at the Beacon Light Behavorial Health Treatment Center in McClure. Troopers say the suspect, an 18-year-old man, was a resident at the behavorial health center and attempted to strangle another resident.

 

When behavioral technicians stepped in to stop the accused, he began to shove and swing at them. The suspect then grabbed a metal access panel cover from one of the heating units there. He then began to attack the technicians. It’s unknown if any charges have been filed. Troopers are not identifying the suspect.
