MACC director urges donations

raiseregionBEAVER SPRINGS — For over a decade the Middlecreek Area Community Center in Beaver Springs has served the community by providing space for events and activities.  Now, it is time for the community to give back.  The annual Raise the Region event is coming up next Wednesday and Thursday, and is an opportunity to raise money for several non-profits throughout The Valley.

Mallissa Weaver, Executive Director at the MACC says they would appreciate any donations from their supporters, “If you come to our center during that timeframe, we will have six computers set up in our lobby, and we have staff that will help you make your online donation.  We will also have games and food, and ring a cowbell during donations.  We have a goal of $30,000, and I think we can do that.  We have awesome people that believe in our center.”

Weaver says the MACC offers so many different activities to people of all ages, including scrapbooking, hip-hop dance, softball, basketball, yoga, and much more.

Weaver talks about something new as well, “New and exciting is Discovery Kids Caring Center.  That is where you can pre-register your child for the day or week, and we have certified staff on hand who will take care of your child during open hours.”
