SELINSGROVE – A long-time reporter for the New York Times is coming to Susquehanna University Wednesday. George Vecesy, who was affiliated with the paper for over 40 years, will speak on SU’s campus at 11 a.m. at the Degenstein Center Theater. Vecesy will speak to the Institute for Lifelong Learning Members. His remarks will be based on his book Stan Musial: An American Life.
Event organizers say the biography is as much a history of the people of industrial western Pennsylvania. It focuses on their hard lives in the first half of the 20th Century as it is of an individual. The event is free admission. (Matt Catrillo)
