SUNBURY— Trying to make helping Valley families a little easier, the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way is talking about their new ‘Local Vision.’ They talk about it this week when they unveiled their $1 million fundraising goal.
Local Vision, says GSVUW President and CEO Joanne Troutman, is a new way to gift people we care about, “In the coming weeks we will be unveiling a online catalog where donors can go online, choose specific items that they want to purchase for families in need. After they purchase that item they will receive a communication at some point talking to them about what family received that gift.”
Local Vision is a project that will help donors connect with the specific needs in the community. The Local Vision initiative is sponsored by Women United. More information at www.gsvuw.org.
