SELINSGROVE—Trying to raise more awareness about the topic of substance abuse is the goal of a lecture series now underway. The sessions are being put on by the Drug and Alcohol Task Force of Union and Snyder Counties. The monthly series includes speakers sharing their experience or professional expertise on the topic of drug and alcohol abuse.
These meetings are for anyone concerned about another’s drug or alcohol use, or people struggling with addiction personally. Organizers say of task force meetings say the goal is awareness and creating a safe space for support.
Each event is free, open to the public and will be held at Evangelical Community Hospital, suite 200. If you have any questions contact Robyn Rinck at rrinck@union-snydercaa.org or call 570- 374-0181. We have a full list of upcoming events posted at wkok.com
