MILTON – State troopers from the Milton barracks say they have two sexual assault crimes under investigation. They say they are investigating a rape that occurred on June 10 or 11th in Valley Township, Montour County. Troopers say they received word of a ChildLine investigation from the Montour County district attorney’s office regarding a sexual assault.
That investigation continues, as does an investigation in Union County. In that case, state police say they are checking into a reported sexual assault in Kelly Township. Trooper say they received two ChildLine referrals from the Union County D-As office.
ChildLine is a statewide hotline for reporting crimes involving victims who are children. Run by the state human services department, they accept and refer reported child abuse 24/7 1-800-932-0313.
