LEWISBURG – A local cheering section supported the U.S. Little League Champions after they lost to Japan yesterday afternoon. Red Land fans from the Central Susquehanna Valley stood along Route 15 in Lewisburg and Routes 11 and 15 in Shamokin Dam and Hummels Wharf, cheering as the team’s bus passed through on their way home.
Fire trucks from across the region lined the route to escort the team to Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, between York and Harrisburg.
