SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — The world comes to South Williamsport this week as thousands arrive for the 78th Little League World Series.
Organizers say the tournament runs August 13–24, featuring 20 teams, 10 from the US and 10 from around the world, playing 38 games in South Williamsport. To welcome the teams, the Grand Slam Parade kicks off Tuesday at 5pm in Williamsport.
Opening ceremonies follow Wednesday at 11am, with games daily, food, activities, and nightly light shows. The MLB Little League Classic is August 17 at Historic Bowman Field featuring the Seattle Mariners and the New York Mets.
Admission and parking are free for most games, and enhanced bus service is available. The Championship Game is set for August 24 at 3pm. More information, including schedules and visitor guidelines, is available at littleleague.org.
