Lewisburg Woman Seriously Injured in I-80 Pile-Up

TURBOTVILLE – A Lewisburg woman was seriously hurt in a four-vehicle pile-up on Interstate 80 in Turbot Township Tuesday morning.  State police say Pamela Burns was taken to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries following the four-vehicle crash around 8 a.m. on I-80 eastbound at mile marker 212.  A truck was stopped on the interstate and two other vehicles slowed down, before Burns struck the truck from behind causing a chain reaction crash.  Her vehicle then burst into flames, but Burns was able to get out of the vehicle.  The other three drivers were not injured.  I-80 eastbound was closed for more than an hour after that accident.
