SELINSGROVE – Retiring Lewisburg Area School District superintendent will be honored by EconomicsPennsylvania. Dr. Mark DiRocco, who will step down in December after 21 years in the district, will receive the Skotedis Family Educator of the Year Award.
Simona Napoli Lovik, Vice Chair of the EconomicsPA State and Susquehanna Valley Region Boards made the announcement and said, “Dr. DiRocco has been consistently enthusiastic and supportive of our various educational classroom programs and brought significant leadership to our organization.” She noted that as a special tribute, the name of the award has been amended for this occasion and will be presented as the Someone Special/Skotedis Family Educator of the Year Award.
DiRocco will receive the award October 27 at the Adam Smith Distinguished Leadership Award Luncheon.
