LEWISBURG — It’s a week to celebrate walking, biking, and car-free travel. Lewisburg Neighborhoods is recognizing the national Week Without Driving campaign from through . The effort highlights the one-third of people who are non-drivers and the need for safe, accessible transportation choices.
Organizers say people can pledge to skip driving for a trip, a day, or the full week. The celebration wraps up with the annual River Road Holiday from 1 to 5pm, when North River Road will be closed to vehicles for walking, biking, and other activities.
